Alpedo — Ice Cream Manufacturer

Alpedo's roots reach back to 1960, when Durgut Usta first made ice cream in a small shop in Sakarya province; by 1988 the family was distributing it to towns by small truck. The brand name was adopted in 1997, the factory itself was built in Kahramanmaraş in 1998, and by 2002 the products had spread across Turkey.

By 2006 the plant was producing 60 tonnes a day and accounted for roughly 10% of the ice cream consumed in Turkey, with quality the company attributes to its use of fresh milk. Alpedo supplies around 72,000 points of sale across seven countries, including Turkey, China, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
