Bitlis Eren University (BEÜ) — known in Turkish as Bitlis Eren Üniversitesi — is a public university in the city of Bitlis, in southeastern Turkey, near Lake Van and the famous Nemrut volcanic crater lake. Founded in 2007, the university is one of the smaller regional public universities in eastern Turkey.

Language of instruction: Predominantly Turkish across all programs. International students typically complete TÖMER Turkish preparation before joining their main degree.

Structure: BEÜ operates 5 faculties, multiple research and applied centres, and offers a range of masters and doctoral programs. It has student-exchange agreements with several European universities under the Erasmus framework.
