Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) is one of Istanbul's largest private universities, founded in 2003 by the Anatolian Foundation for Education and Culture (AKEV). It has grown to host tens of thousands of students across multiple campuses.

Main campus — Florya: The flagship campus is in Florya on Istanbul's European side, in a strategic location close to all major transport links, with easy public-transport access to Istanbul's social and cultural activities.

Additional locations: Smaller campuses are spread across central Istanbul locations, supporting specialised programs and graduate studies.

Research infrastructure: IAU consistently encourages scientific research and operates more than 30 research centres and labs across engineering, technology, art, and design fields, equipped with the latest technology. Notable facilities include:

• Dr. Aziz Sancar Technology Centre (named after the Turkish Nobel laureate in Chemistry)
• Faculty of Dentistry hospital
• ADSM (Oral and Dental Health Centre)
• 21 basic medical science labs
• Art and design workshops and studios

Smart-classroom infrastructure: Every classroom is equipped with smart boards and digital platforms. The library houses an extensive collection of electronic resources to support both students and faculty.

Scholarships: Merit-based scholarships ranging from 25% to 75% of tuition based on academic record and entrance-exam results.
